Obituary

Elma (Bubba) Lee Edwards, (93), passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022. His services will be February 12, 2022 at Macedonia Syloam Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Under the direction of Brownrigg Funeral Home. Interment will be at Fairground Cemetery in Clarksville, Texas. The viewing for Mr. Edwards will be Friday, February 11, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Brownrigg Funeral Home. 

Elma was born October 14, 1928 to Robert and Blanche Edwards. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at an early age. He served Macedonia Baptist Church as a Deacon. He was the bass vocalist with the Spiritual Five. He retired after 20 years of working for Phillips Industries in Clarksville, Texas. Elma enjoyed an active social life and spending time with his family and friends.

Elma is preceded in death by his parents, his wife (Armelia Edwards), sons (Robert and Howard Edwards), sisters (Velma Love, Willie Dickersonand Corine Gray), and brothers (Earl, Eugene, Charlie, and Leon).

He leaves to cherish his memory with his children – Ronald (Alice) Dizer Sr., James (Rita) Dizer, Imogene (Kevin) Parrish, Elma (Kimmie) L. Edwards Jr, Joanetta Edwards, Dennis (Jurline) Edwards, Percy Edwards, Willie Edwards, Curtis (Jennifer) Edwards and Lisa Edwards; 27 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
